Čitavo događanje otvoreno je koncertom hora Jevrejske opštine Novi Sad – „Hašira“ i izložbom u novosadskoj Sinagogi pod nazivom „Pisanje stradanja: vodič kroz publikacije o Holokaustu“ autorke, Bilјane Albahari i dizajnerke Ornele Rezinović.

AB - Resilience is contemporary theoretical and practical mainstream framework approach in risk management. Emerging new forms of response to crisis and novel dynamics in addressing it challenge it and spur changes. Changes in relations are being initiated at global, regional, and local scales. Post-liberal social practices are being generated within the neoliberal practice itself, as an open-ended and potentially transformative process of resilient subjects that actively participate in those processes. In contrast with neoliberal practice, post-liberal practices rest on individual capacity for change, not on an actors’ agency to adapt. If choice between transformation and adaptation is a matter of free autonomous action, it implies that the subject is not reduced to the level of mere adaptation to changes and that autonomous actor has capacity to exercise influence.
The main idea highlighted in this article is that of human agency as the central point of resilience. In the course of social learning process and participative decision-making, resilience becomes rooted in social actors fostering collective transformation in challenging times. The aim of this article is to contest the concept of resilience as a feature of mainstream theoretical discourse on resilient capitalism, by highlighting elements of an alternative perspective on neoliberal, individualistic, entrepreneurial forms of 'resilience'. The authors use this idea to suggest a paradigm shift in humanities on the basis of alternative routes of development as offered by alternative resilience to resilient capitalism.

Feeling Vulnerable: Interpersonal Relatedness and Situatedness

AB - My focus in this text is not the general notion of vulnerability (although it is important), but how one feels vulnerable. (1) In the first part, I will sketch the structure of such an emotional experience. (2) Then, I will try to explain why the recognition of another’s vulnerability is important in regard to emotional agency, emphasizing the difference between this kind of recognition and similar experience of empathy and social recognition. (3) In the third section, I will concentrate on the question of intersubjectivity of (mutual) recognition. However, I think that there is an inherent normative gap between the ideal of universal intersubjective mutual recognition with respect to emotional agency and the fact that in the social realm this recognition rests on culturally and socially dependent criteria of adequacy for such emotional experience. Moreover, the mentioned gap could put some persons in a situation (emotional exclusion) in which they don’t have a ‘right’ to feel vulnerable in their own way. (4) In the conclusion, I try to offer some practical possibilities to bridge this gap through emotion-oriented environmental structures.

AB - In the following chapter, I will attempt to argue that feelings, and, above all, pleasure in mere reflection, ought to be understood as intentional states, and moreover, as feeling-intentionality sui generis. In the first portion of the text, I present the fundamentals of the Kantian understanding of feelings, and attempt to demonstrate why we should reject some of the conclusions of interpretations offered by Paul Guyer and Rachel Zuckert. In part two, I outline some of the particulars of pleasure in mere reflection. In part three, I detail problems relating to the question of the object of pleasure in the context of mere reflection. Finally, in part four, I propose an approach in which intentionality of pleasure in mere reflection can be understood as feeling-intentionality sui generis, explain why this understanding should be ascribed to Kant, and discuss how this might resolve some of the problems surveyed in part three.

Communicating the Holocaust

AB - This paper deals with role of digital culture and ICT in rethinking Holocaust remembrance, arguing for a semantic, or rather a theoretical change in analyzing Holocaust memory practices - from re-presenting the Holocaust to communicating the Holocaust. We will explore how this framework can provide a new tool for better encompassing and understanding of wide range of memory and representation practices we equate the Holocaust with, from traumatic Holocaust survivor testimonies, historical, cultural and national memory politics, education practices, Jewish Churban, to numerous memorial and artistic production about the Holocaust, but also add to the debates around issues of (non) representability of the Shoah, ethical imperatives of Holocaust memory and post-Holocaust thought. Our goal is to analyze how much this new platform is dependent on the digital turn, that is, how much of this change in perception of Holocaust memory can we find in the cultural paradigm change that came with ICT and digital technology. This digital turn in Holocaust memory is perceived in the increase of the amount of information about the Holocaust, social networks and social media culture dominated landscape, significance of digital archives, networking and collaborative projects, image, video and text reproduction and appropriation, focus on interactivity and communication in education and memorial institutions. We will showcase how big historical and institutional narratives about the Holocaust gave way to the exchange of multitude of stories, opinions and perspectives. How museum, memorial and school settings became entwined with online platforms and their digital materials, and also in what way are those digital materials used, reproduced and changed. Further, we will discuss how the third and fourth post-Holocaust generation are connected to this digital turn in Holocaust memory and whether in their memory and representational practices we can also find the communication turn.

abstract = "This paper deals with role of digital culture and ICT in rethinking Holocaust remembrance, arguing for a semantic, or rather a theoretical change in analyzing Holocaust memory practices - from re-presenting the Holocaust to communicating the Holocaust. Further, we will discuss how the third and fourth post-Holocaust generation are connected to this digital turn in Holocaust memory and whether in their memory and representational practices we can also find the communication turn.",

AB - The subject of this study are ethnic identifications of young citizens of Serbia. The aim is to empirically investigate how ethnic identifications are construed in the social context through the interaction between the person and other actors within specific socio-cultural practices. Cultural psychological theoretical framework and qualitative research approach were adopted. The collective memory-work methodology was used in order to provoke young people to reflect upon their ethnic affiliation. Research participation was primarily based on the collective generation and deconstruction of written personal memories. An additional study was conducted for the purpose of validation and extension of the insights, with the same type of data, but with an individual approach to analysis. Purposive sampling strategy was applied, by using Serbian citizenship and belonging to the generation born in the 1990s as the inclusion criteria. Nine participant-researchers, including the author herself, collaborated in the main research, while a total of 42 people participated in the second research, and the sample was balanced by gender.
The results have been presented in three segments, across different approaches to critical discourse analysis. First, the results of the collective analysis of individual memories are presented. The second part is dedicated to comparative analysis of memories, where two main aspects have been analyzed in detail: the socio-cultural framework (contexts, practices, and mediators), on one side, and the processes of ethnic identifications, on the other. The third part of the chapter represents the extension of the previous analysis, through the analysis of memories collected in the second research, which identified six aspects of ethnic identification construction: being on one’s own, with one’s own people; childhood in the midst of crisis; encounters with (and separations from) the Others; being better than the Others; distancing from the national; fighting for… The findings indicate various dynamics of ethnic identification within the social context and broader social-political events. The significance of memories for the (re)construction of personal experience and meanings has been discussed, as well as the problems of agency and belonging.

AB - Teorijske osnove i poreklo pristupa. Drugim rečima, mi aktivno prisvajamo socijalne strukture i odnose, „nosimo ih, osmišljavamo ih, zaplićemo se u njih, i kroz to postajemo ko smo“ (Stephenson, 2005: 35). Procesi socijalizacije i subjektifikacije su uzajamni.

Becoming an Ethnic Subject. Cultural-Psychological Theory of Ethnic Identification

AB - This paper offers an alternative theoretical consideration of ethnic identification in psychology. Mainstream social psychological theories are largely positivist and individualistic. New possibilities of theoretical understanding open up as the relational and symbolic nature of ethnicity enters psychological inquiry. This paper takes culture and self as two conceptual domains of social identification, following a meta-theoretical position of cultural psychology. The central focus is the cultural development of the person in social context of a given culture, specifically their ethnic identification, to which end, it looks at several processual aspects. First, ethnic culture is approached as a guiding principle and practice in everyday understanding and experience of one’s own ethnicity. Second, ethnic identification is considered a social and personal act of meaning making, which happens in a given social context, through practical activity and the discursive positioning of a person. Third, since rather than considered a conscious aspect of belonging, ethnicity is assumed and taken for granted, ruptures are considered as destabilizing events that create an opportunity for ethnic meaning reinterpretation and developmental transition. In the meaning making process, symbolic resources are conceived of as primary self-configuring tools, which are also culture[1]configuring. Ethnic meaning making is theorized as a central social[1]psychological process through which ethnic culture and a person as an ethnic subject emerge in historical perspective. Finally, the uniqueness of a singular person in the shared ethnic culture is conceptualized based on symbolic distancing from the immediate social context, through the model of knitting personal and socio-historical semiotic threads.
AB - Ovaj rad nudi alternativno teorijsko razmatranje etničke identifikacije u psihologiji. Glavne

Finally, the uniqueness of a singular person in the shared ethnic culture is conceptualized based on symbolic distancing from the immediate social context, through the model of knitting personal and socio-historical semiotic threads., Ovaj rad nudi alternativno teorijsko razmatranje etničke identifikacije u psihologiji. Glavne

AB - The Schwartz theory of basic values is the leading model in psychological research. However, few studies qualitatively approach how people make sense of value types. We propose a way to investigate this by focusing on emerging adulthood, a developmental period of exploration. Furthermore, participants are situated in the context of Balkan societies that are characterized by transitions. Relying on personal construct theory, we explored potential interpretations of values, their subordinate constructs, diversity, valence, and similarity to the definitions proposed in the theory. We used pyramiding in order to prompt constructs subordinate to each of the ten values. We applied thematic analysis to identify subordinate constructs in the 5866 responses obtained from 281 participants. The results show that participants understand abstract values through constructs that refer to specific actions, feelings, and personality traits. The values varied in the number of subordinate constructs and the degree of their deviation from the conceptual definition. There are also differences in the connotations of values or their desirability. Results show that all values, except Universalism, have a subordinate construct that expresses the negative side of the value. This study offers a more contextualized and content-oriented approach to values and has implications for future studies.

An Ethics-Based ‘Identity-Proof’ of God’s Existence. An Ontology for Philotherapy

AB - A resurgence of scholarly work on proof of God’s existence is noticeable over the past decade, with considerable emphasis on attempts to provide ‘analytic proof’ based on the meanings and logic of various identity statements which constitute premises of the syllogisms of the ‘proof’. Most recently perhaps, Emmanuel Rutten’s ‘modal-epistemic proof’ has drawn serious academic attention. Like other ‘analytic’ and strictly logical proofs of God’s existence, Rutten’s proof has been found flawed. In this paper I discuss the possibility of an ‘ethics-based’ identity proof of God’s existence. Such a proof, the first version of which, I believe, has been offered, indirectly, by Nikolai Lossky, utilizes the form and structure of the analytic proof, but fundamentally rests on the perception of moral values we associate with God and Godliness. The nature of the proof shifts the focus of the very attempt to ‘prove’ God’s existence from what I believe is an unreasonable standard, unattainable even in ‘proving’ the existence of the more mundane world, towards a more functional, practical and attainable standard. The proof proposed initially by Lossky, and in a more systematic form here, I believe, shows the indubitable existence of God in the sense of his moral presence in the lives of the faithful, at least with the same degree of certainty as the presence or ‘existence’ of anything else that can be epistemically proven in principle.
Takav dokaz, Like other ‘analytic’ and strictly logical proofs of God’s existence, Rutten’s proof has been found flawed. In this paper I discuss the possibility of an ‘ethics-based’ identity proof of God’s existence.

Heidegger’s Aesthetics. The Philosophy of Finite Human Freedom and Basic Moods and Emotions

AB - The first part of the text poses the question whether for Heidegger’s aesthetically relevant thought it is better to use older terms, such as “Heidegger’s Doctrine of Art” or “Heidegger’s Philosophy of Art”, or a more recent term “Heidegger aesthetics”? Does the term “Heidegger’s aesthetics” represent an “oxymoron” contrary to the intentions of Heidegger’s own philosophy, or does it signify a relevant aesthetic conception that has its own place in contemporary philosophical aesthetics? In order to answer these questions, the text considers Heidegger’s understanding of aesthetics as a philosophical discipline and also the problems arising in connection with this designation. It argues that Heidegger’s concept of “overcoming aesthetics” represents the (self) interpretation of his own philosophy of art developed in the essay The Origin of the Work of Art. The second part of the text follows the thesis that the Heidegger’s aesthetics contains the definitions of art and work of art, based on Heidegger’s analyses of freedom, basic moods, and emotions. This part of text follows a broader thesis, in which Heidegger’s philosophy as a whole can be understood as the phenomenology of freedom. Also, it discusses a special thesis that the concept of strife (Streit) of Earth and world in The Origin of the Work of Art should be understood only on the background of the primordial struggle between concealment and unconcealment in the truth as the unconcealedness of beings. Further, the concept of strife is linked on a deeper level with the determination of finite human freedom and basic human moods. In light of that, Heidegger’s aesthetics is not only the heteronomous aesthetics of the work of art, but also the (relatively) autonomous aesthetics of aesthetic experience articulated with respect to finite human freedom. The conclusion is that Heidegger’s aesthetics of truth understood as the philosophy of freedom, basic moods, and emotions, according to their inner intentions, is closer to the tradition of the aesthetics of sublime than the aesthetics of the beautiful.

abstract = "The first part of the text poses the question whether for Heidegger’s aesthetically relevant thought it is better to use older terms, such as “Heidegger’s Doctrine of Art” or “Heidegger’s Philosophy of Art”, or a more recent term “Heidegger aesthetics”? The conclusion is that Heidegger’s aesthetics of truth understood as the philosophy of freedom, basic moods, and emotions, according to their inner intentions, is closer to the tradition of the aesthetics of sublime than the aesthetics of the beautiful., U prvom delu teksta postavlja se pitanje: da li je za Hajdegerovu estetički relevantnu misao bolje upotrebljavati starije termine kao to su “Hajdegerovo učenje o umetnosti” i “Hajdegerova filozofija umetnosti” ili savremeniji termin “Hajdegerova estetika”?

Women’s Activism in India: Negotiating Secularism and Religion

AB - In post-independence India secularism was almost taken for granted as a defining feature of the women’s movement with its rejection of the public expression of religious and caste identities. However, already by the 1980s, the assumption that gender could be used as a unifying factor was challenged, revealing that women from different social (class/caste) and religious backgrounds understand and sometime use their identities in ways that are not driven necessarily by some ideology (such as feminism or human rights), but by more immediate concerns and even opportunism. This realization opened up a debate about new strategies to tackle women’s activism, especially in light of aggressive political activism of some women associated with right-wing parties in India, which has clearly shattered the perception, held by some, of women as inherently peace-loving, whose gender identity would override their caste and religious belonging.

Warfare and Group Solidarity: from Ibn Khaldun to Ernest Gellner and Beyond

AB - Ibn Khaldun and Ernest Gellner have both developed comprehensive yet very different theories of social cohesion. Whereas Ibn Khaldun traces the development of intense group solidarity to the ascetic lifestyles of nomadic warriors, for Gellner social cohesion is a product of different material conditions. In contrast to Ibn Khaldun’s theory, where all social ties are generated through similar social processes, in Gellner’s model the patterns of collective solidarity change through time, that is, different societies produce different forms of social cohesion. While Ibn Khaldun argues that asbiyyah is the backbone of group unity in all social orders, Gellner insists that modern societies are underpinned by very different type of collective solidarity than their premodern counterparts. In this paper I offer a critique of Ibn Khaldun’s and Gellner’s theories of social cohesion and develop an alternative explanation, which situates the social dynamics of group solidarity in the organisational and ideological legacies of warfare.
AB - Ibn Haldun i Ernest Gelner razvili su sveobuhvatne, ali vrlo različite teorije socijalne kohezije.
Dok je Ibn Haldun razvoj intenzivne grupne solidarnosti pronašao u asketskom načinu života
nomadskih ratnika, za Gelnera socijalna kohezija predstavlja proizvod različitih materijalnih
uslova.
U ovom radu nudim kritiku Ibn Haldunove i Gelnerove teorije
socijalne kohezije i razvijam alternativno objašnjenje koje postavlja socijalnu dinamiku grupne solidarnosti u organizaciono i ideološko nasleđe ratovanja.

Some Remarks on Unfocused Hatred: Identity of the Hated One and Criteria of Adequacy

AB - Thomas Szanto has recently argued that hatred could not be a fitting emotion because of its blurred focus. It thus cannot trace the properties of its intentional object. Although I agree with the core of Szanto’s account, I would like to discuss two connected issues that might be of importance. First, I want to address whether the unfittingness of hatred has anything to do with the possibility that the hated person does not identify with what they are hated for. I conclude that if the focus of hatred is blurred, hatred does not trace the identification of the hated person or group. Next, I propose a possibility that (certain) criteria of adequacy of hatred (why someone is treated by members of society as hateworthy) are embedded in the cultural and social framework in such a way that they are not necessarily intelligibly justified by their relation to the focus and import it has. Under such circumstances, with hatred still being unfitting, these criteria create quasi-correctness of hatred (actually, they trace properties of someone being hateworthy). If this is correct, it will enable us to keep the thesis that hatred cannot be fitting. At the same time, we could use political vocabulary to tackle hatred that is common in cases when a group will not give up their commitment to hatred and argue that some people or group of people is not to be hated under the hating group’s own criteria.
on ima.

A Critical Account of the Concept of De-Objectified Hatred

AB - This paper looks at Thomas Szanto’s theory of hatred that suggests that hatred has an indeterminate affective focus and that it derives its intensity from the commitment to the attitude itself. Contrary to Szanto’s theses, this paper claims that the hated properties are not necessarily fuzzy. On the contrary, in many cases we can clearly reconstruct the quasi-rational genesis of hatred, by relying on the deep structures behind the social dynamics (as demonstrated by the example of anti-Semitism). Furthermore, the paper states that even though in certain cases hatred is a truly empty of content, these cases are marginal in comparison to other, more important forms of hatred.

AB - What exactly is wrong with hating others? However deep-seated the intuition, when it comes to spelling out the reasons for why hatred is inappropriate, the literature is rather meager and confusing. In this paper, I attempt to be more precise by distinguishing two senses in which hatred is inappropriate, a moral and a non-moral one. First, I critically discuss the central current proposals defending the possibility of morally appropriate hatred in the face of serious wrongs or evil perpetrators and show that they are all based on a problematic assumption, which I call the ‘reality of evil agents assumption’. I then turn to the issue of non-moral emotional appropriateness and sketch a novel, focus-based account of fittingness. Next, I outline the distinctive affective intentionality of hatred, suggesting that hatred, unlike most other antagonistic emotions, has an overgeneralizing and indeterminate affective focus. Against this background, I argue that hatred cannot be fitting. Due to the indeterminacy of its focus, hatred fails to pick out those evaluative features of the intentional object that would really matter to the emoters. I close with some tentative remarks on the possibility of appropriate hatred towards corporate or group agents.
„pretpostavka o realnosti zlih aktera“.
grupnim akterima.

AB - In this paper, I aim to demonstrate that the outbreak of the COVID-19 crisis has only intensified the deterioration of Serbian constitutional order and has weakened its democratic institutions. The central argument is that the state of emergency declared in mid-March 2020, as well as the other measures imposed on the citizens affecting their human rights, has been problematic from both procedural and substantial aspects. The paper discusses the consequences of those measures for the quality of democracy and the rule of law in Serbia.

Koncept insulatora u teoriji regionalnog bezbednosnog kompleksa
