Abstract
This essay represents the cartonera phenomena as a traveling concept which moves through time and space. Using the theoretical framework of Mieke Bal, the essay sheds lights on problems which emerge when concepts are blindly translated from West to the reality of Latin America. The author suggests the necessity of decolonizing knolewdge.
