AB  - Regionalni naučni centar Instituta za filozofiju i društvenu teoriju organizovao je u Novom Sadu od 18. do 21. aprila 2017. godine seriju događaja „Sećanje na Holokaust“, koja je sadržavala konferenciju „Holokaust i filozofija“, tribinu istoričara „Jevrejski identitet, antisemitizam i Holokaust“, jedan školski dan o Holokaustu „Lekcije za budućnost“ i simpozijum „Učiti o Holokaustu: utopija ili šansa – obrazovne prakse i pedagoški izazovi“. Čitavo događanje otvoreno je koncertom hora Jevrejske opštine Novi Sad – „Hašira“ i izložbom u novosadskoj Sinagogi pod nazivom „Pisanje stradanja: vodič kroz publikacije o Holokaustu“ autorke, Bilјane Albahari i dizajnerke Ornele Rezinović. Izložbu je pratio katalog  koji ima odlike samostalne knjige. 
Cilј izložbe bio je da se jednim savremenim, a temi odgovarajućim dizajnerskim rešenjem, na upečatlјiv način predstavi izbor preko stotinu knjiga koje su o Holokaustu štampane u Srbiji i da se na taj način ukaže na neke od najvažnijih elemenata i događaja vezanih za istoriju Holokausta u okupiranoj Srbiji. Autorke se nadaju da su na taj način uspele da usklade zahteve profesionalnog izraza i neophodnog pijeteta primerenog težini teme. Izložbeni plakati tematski i hronološki prate odigravanje Holokausta: počinju od spalјivanja knjiga i Kristalne noći u nacističkoj Nemačkoj, preko nastajanja sabirnih centara, stratišta i internacijskih i koncentracionih logora, do tragičnih učinaka nastojanja da se masovno uništi jevrejski narod. Kroz individualne sudbine, lične i porodične priče, istoriografske dokumente i arhivsku građu svedoči se o jednom od najvećih zločina u istoriji čovečanstva. Deo izložbe koji se odnosi na posleratni period govori o hvatanju počinitelјa ratnih zločina, pravednicima koji su pomagali jevrejskim porodicama da prežive racije i progone, tumačenju Holokausta, kao i o pedagoškom radu na izučavanje Holokausta.
Izložbenu postavku obišli su učenici tokom školskog dana „Lekcije za budućnost“, koji se odvijao u sklopu ove manifestacije. Tom prilikom se potvrdilo da se predstavlјeni plakati (u štampanoj i digitalnoj formi), koje je Institut poklonio Narodnoj biblioteci Srbije, zajedno sa knjigom-katalogom mogu koristiti kao pokretna izložba ili kao dopunski, edukativni i prateći materijal za različite seminare, interaktivne časove i radionice posvećene ovoj temi.

AB  - Our presentation will consist of two parts. The first part will focus on the ambivalences of Rousseau's republican freedom and critique the interpretation of Rousseau offered by Isaiah Berlin. Berlin's interpretation ignores essential aspects, including the fact that the social contract itself, as the preservation of citizens, does not simply manifest positive freedom. Similarly, the more obviously republican thought, that freedom is not being subjected to the arbitrary will of other agents, embodies a complex concept of freedom. The complexity of the Rousseauian republican concept of freedom, with its multiplex combination of positive and negative aspects, is revealed when we take into consideration the various layers of Rousseau's
quadrotomy of freedom (natural freedom, civil freedom, democratic freedom, moral freedom), without resorting to reductionist interpretative strategies. Rousseau will also be analyzed as an advocate of freedom as non-domination and in the role of watching over and critiquing the government.
Based on this analysis and in light of the discussion about the positive and negative aspects of Rousseau’s conception of republican freedom, the second part will examine Hegel's critique of Rousseau. It will be demonstrated that while Hegel does indeed resolve some of the paradoxes of republican freedom, which he implicitly identified through his criticism of Rousseau, he introduces new ones within his political philosophy. At the same time, it will be shown that when the negative aspect of Rousseau's conception of republican freedom is taken into account some of Hegel's criticisms directed at Rousseau’s ‘general will’ have merit and cannot be reduced to a mere misreading as is often done.

AB  - Udžbenici istorije su puno više od osnovnih priručnika koji na sažet i objektivan način mladima prenose najvažnija saznanja o prošlosti. Pisani prilagođenim i pojednostavljenim jezikom, oni su uvek instrument zvanične obrazovne politike koja legitimizuje i odražava postojeći socijalni i politički poredak. Rad ima za cilj da ukaže na ideološki karakter udžbenika na primeru slike AVNOJ-a u srpskim udžbenicima istorije tokom i nakon socijalizma. Istraživanjem je utvrđeno da je socijalističku sliku uloge AVNOJ-a, koja je bila ideologizovana legitimacijskim potrebama novih vlasti ali i marksističkom interpretacijom, u postsocijalističkim srpskim udžbenicima zamenila ili naizgled neutralna slika koja se distancirala od značaja AVNOJ-a ili nacionalistička revizionistička interpretacija. Ideološka paradigma je definitivno zamenjena početkom 2000-ih, ali je, uz to, u pojedinim udžbenicima u potpunosti došlo do potiskivanja i iskrivljenja istorijskih činjenica

Analiziran je tradicionalni metod „istorije ideja“ u SAD, lingvistički kontekstualizam „kembričke škole“, odnos postmodernizma i intelektualne istorije, kao i društvena intelektualna istorija. U završnom delu se raspravlja o određenim savremenim tokovima u okviru discipline, kao i jednom od potencijalnih rešenja za ranije krize i metodološke teškoće.
AB  - The article attempts to present some methodological approaches, controversies, and
dilemmas in the research of intellectual history. First, the paper shows a dispute over the
subject matter and the definition of the discipline from the perspective of influential scholars
in the field. The major part of the study aims to show several methodological approaches:
the traditional method of the “history of ideas” in the USA, the linguistic contextualism of
the “Cambridge school”, the relationship between postmodernism and intellectual history, as
well as social intellectual history. Similarities and differences between selected approaches
are discussed considering their contributions and shortcomings. The final part of the article
examines contemporary trends within the discipline, offering one of the potential solutions
for earlier crises and methodological difficulties.

AB  - Veljko Mićunović was a prominent Yugoslav diplomat of the post-war era. In April 1961, Mićunović had a verbal altercation with Josip Broz Tito, the Yugoslav president, while on board the ship “Galeb”. AB  - Sukob Jugoslavije sa Sovjetskim Savezom 1948, kao i jugoslovenska unutrašnjatransformacija koja je sledila, otvorili su značajnu debatu unutar radničkog pokreta o osnovnim pravcima razvitka socijalističke teorije i prakse. Sa jedne strane, jugoslovenski komunisti su u ogledanju sa sovjetskim („staljinističkim”) iskustvom, gradili početne temelje „demokratskog samoupravnog socijalizma”, dok susovjetski teoretičari osporavali jugoslovenske ideološke novine, smatrajući ih „revizionističkim”. Polemika je doživela vrhunac tokom 1960-ih godina, kada je Jugoslavija otpočela svobuhvatniji proces društvene i privredne reforme, a u Moskvi bilo započeto preispitivanje Hruščovljeve partijske linije „destaljinizacije”. Imajućiu vidu istorijski značaj sukoba, rad se koncentriše na jedno od suštinskih problemskih pitanja jugoslovensko-sovjetske polemike – uloge komunističke partije udruštvu, te da ispita na koji način su se kroz polemiku manifestovale karakteristike jugoslovenske liberalizacije, naročito u komparaciji sa ideološkim postavkama „realnog socijalizma” u Sovjetskom Savezu.
AB  - This research is aimed to critically analyse the Yugoslav-Soviet disputes, with a specific focus on the ideological question of Party reform as a central issue in their
differing interpretations. The methodology employed involves a comparative examination of the principles of Yugoslav “democratic socialism” and Soviet “real socialism” during the period of intense labour movement debates and the peak of Yugoslavia’s internal crisis, which led to the replacement of two reformist leaderships
in 1971/1972. The study highlights the importance of the clashes between the Yugoslav aspiration for autonomous development and the Soviet hegemonic model,
with the international context playing a crucial role in intensifying the debates. The
findings underscore the significance of ideology in shaping political events and the
trajectory of social development in both countries. Ultimately, this research provides a deeper understanding of the final outcomes of the Yugoslav-Soviet disputes
and sheds light on the evolution of the Yugoslav socialist system’s attempt to present itself as a distinct “progressive” (non-Soviet) development model. The analysis
demonstrates how the dynamics of ideological differences influenced the course of
socialist development, reflecting the complexities of post-Stalinist transitions and
the implications of these disputes for broader debates about socialist modernization on the left.

AB  - The aim of the article is to offer a reading of Judith Butler’s understanding of the
precarious, the notion which gives rise to her particular understanding of precarity.
The first part of the article discusses the transition from the theory of performativity
to the theory of precarity and claims that the body provides the link between a
performative act and a precarious life. The second part scrutinizes the idea of the
precarious as it appears in conjunction with life. Precariousness and precarity are
related to dispossessability and dispossession, and to a politically induced inequality.
The article concludes with a claim that the notion of the precarious offers itself as a
possible point of departure for an entirely different conceptualization of equality, and
as a strong basis for coalitional action or collective struggle. The specific positioning
of the body and the political desire for radical equality in Butler’s thought makes
theories of performativity and precarity interrelated

AB  - In this article, Fiket, Pudar Draško and Uroševic situate the notion of
‘anti-politics’ within a broader theory of ‘cultures of rejection’, redefining it as a
specific culture of rejection in the political sphere. They describe the lack of

AB  - The question of resistance has been a long-debated topic in the study of
Foucault’s work. The interesting thing about this debate is that various authors
came do differing conclusions, some point out that Foucault’s understanding of
power leaves no space agency while others claim that his entire work can be
seen as a study of possibilities for resistance. Even though this debate started in
Foucault’s own lifetime it is still on going and contemporary scholarship has
started dealing with new problems concerning his notions of resistance. Some of
those problems are the relations between collective and individual acts of
resistance and the relation between critical scholarship and political resistance.
Our aim is to contribute to this debate by reinterpreting Foucault’s understanding of resistance through Deleuze’s reading of Foucault and through Deleuze’s
concepts like the “war machine”, “nomadism” and others. In the first part of our
presentation, we will use Deleuze’s reading of Foucault to reconstruct his notion
of resistance and how it relates to other important concepts in his work, like
power and the subject. In the second part we will move on to Foucault’s
understanding of critique and the problem of its relation to resistance. While
specifically relying on Daniele Lorenzini’s reading of this problem we will point
out that Foucault’s research into various institutions of modernity (like the
prison, the hospital, or the asylum) can be seen as a study of possible “lines of
flight” or possibilities for resistance to technologies of government that are
active within them. We will conclude by pointing out that Foucault’s
understanding of critical scholarship can best be understood as an attempt to
connect various subjects of resistance into a rhizomatic movement or a war
machine whose structure mirrors that of the governmental dispositive.

AB  - The existing research on therapy culture and self-help culture in the
countries of the Western Balkans has so far been highly empirically
oriented. Therefore, there is a noticeable lack of theoretical

AB  - Therapy culture, in its various manifestations, is a relatively established
field of study and has been so for decades in European and American
social sciences and humanities. However, this field is apparently yet
to develop in the countries of ex-Yugoslavia, and the Balkans in general.
Therefore, our presentation will take the form of a metasynthesis of existing
research on therapy culture and self-help culture in the countries of
ex-Yugoslavia. We will show that since this field of study is still in its infancy
in the region, the research is highly empirically oriented. Therefore,
we will point to the lack of a substantive theoretical conceptualization as a
factor that is keeping the research of therapy culture and self-help culture
in these countries from forming as a distinct field of study. In the second
part of our presentation, we will present a theoretical framework based
on the “governmentality approach” as a way of conceptualizing therapy
culture and self-help culture and their place in post-socialist contexts. We
will claim that this way therapy culture and self-help culture can be understood
as creating a new “ethos” (Foucault) or a new “structure of feeling”

AB  - Pošto su istraživanja terapijske kulture i kulture samopomoći u postsocijalističkim društvima istočne Evrope do sada bila mahom empiristički orijentisana, cilj ovog članka je razvoj i testiranje teorijskog okvira za njihovo buduće istraživanje. Ovaj okvir će se zasnivati na konceptualnom aparatu teorijsko-istraživačkog polja nazvanog „teorija upravljanja“. Tim aparatom ćemo definisati pojmove neoliberalizma, terapijske kulture i kulture samopomoći, a potom ta određenja dopuniti specifičnim konceptima, kojima ćemo ih prilagoditi proučavanju postsocijalističkog konteksta. Ovaj teorijski okvir ćemo testirati analizom postojećih istraživanja terapijske kulture i kulture samopomoći u postsocijalističkim društvima istočne Evrope. U zaključku ćemo, na osnovu te analize, izložiti uočene prednosti i nedostatke našeg teorijskog okvira.
