Delezova istorija filozofije

AB  - U ovom radu ću predstaviti i analizirati Žil Delezovu istoriju filozofiju, sa
posebnim osvrtom na odnos Delezove „manjinske“ istorije filozofije i autorovog kasnijeg
filozofskog stvaralaštva. Cilj rada je da ukaže na ambivalentnost ovog odnosa. Iako Delez
deli filozofe na „većinske“ i „manjinske“, pokazaću da oba tipa filozofa igraju konstitutivnu
ulogu u formiranju njegove filozofije. Ambivalentnost Delezove istorije filozofije
manifestuje se prvenstveno u statusu neprijateljskog, „većinskog“ filozofa. No, uprkos
mnoštvu „neprijateljskih“ filozofa, Hegel ima poseban značaj unutar Delezove istorije
filozofije. Hegel je jedini filozof kojeg Delez nije težio da reinterpretira i integriše unutar
svog filozofskog korpusa, čime ovaj „neprijatelj“ stiče poseban značaj za shvatanje kako
Delezove istorije filozofije, tako i njegovog filozofskog stvaralaštva uopšte.

Ruso, Kant i kritika prosvećenosti

AB  - U ovom radu se osvrćemo na Rusoovo i Kantovo shvatanje prosvećenosti kroz prizmu Kantove ideje „nedruštvene društvenosti“, sa ciljem da pokažemo da Rusoova kritika prosvetiteljstva pretpostavlja drugačiju ideju hrabrosti od one koju zagovara Kant u svom spisu Šta je prosvećenost?. U prvom delu rada problematizujemo Kantovu ideju „nedruštvene društvenosti“ kao mehanizma koji vodi do prosvećenosti i intelektualne nezavisnosti, pokazujući da se koreni ove ideje nalaze u Rusoovoj filozofskoj istoriji čovečanstva. U sledećem koraku pokazujemo kako Ruso argumentuje protiv ideje progresa koju Kant locira u „nedruštvenoj društvenosti“. Konačno, na osnovu ovih prikaza pokazujemo da je Ruso kritikovao prosvetiteljstvo, društveno posredovanje i spoznaju sa stanovišta republikanske slobode, koja po njemu zahteva drugačiju formu odnosa društvenosti i nedruštvenosti, pa time i alternativno shvatanje hrabrosti od onog koje je sadržano u Kantovom apelu „Sapere aude!“.

AB  - The presentation will delve into the relationship between control society and archaism. Deleuze’s conceptualization of control implies the reconfiguration of
former spaces of discipline. While the Foucauldian model of discipline was characterized by enclosed spaces (such as prisons, armies, and churches),
Deleuze’s notion of control highlights a continuous network where individuals are no longer molded but modulated. This prompts us to ponder the shift in the
temporal structure that occurs during the transition from a disciplinary society to one governed by control. Specifically, this presentation aims to explore the
disparities in our historical perspectives when viewed from disciplinary and control paradigms. In this context, I will explore Deleuze and Guattari's concept of 
‘archaism’. According to Deleuze and Guattari, archaism is an inherent aspect of capitalism, its continual endeavor to reconstruct territoriality and replicate 
antiquated coding patterns. Capitalism necessitates archaism due to its lack of inherent belief structures. In essence, the system, which the duo name the 
‘age of cynicism’, requires the revival of old codes to sustain its systems of subjugation and dominance. As my presentation will demonstrate, one can
discern a transformation in the evolution of archaism as society shifts from discipline to control. By comparing the fascist archaism of the thirties in
Germany and the archaism of contemporary alt-right movements, I will show that a disciplinary society presupposes a more centralized form of archaism,
which is highly susceptible to state control and deeply ingrained in the institutional fabric of social life. Conversely, a control society implies a 
diversification and creativity in archaic attitudes, hinting at its potential for emancipation—a viewpoint emphasized by Deleuze and Guattari themselves 
in ’Anti-Oedipus’.

Rousseau and Hegel: the Many Sides of Republican Freedom

AB  - Our presentation will consist of two parts. The first part will focus on the ambivalences of Rousseau's republican freedom and critique the interpretation of Rousseau offered by Isaiah Berlin. Berlin's interpretation ignores essential aspects, including the fact that the social contract itself, as the preservation of citizens, does not simply manifest positive freedom. Similarly, the more obviously republican thought, that freedom is not being subjected to the arbitrary will of other agents, embodies a complex concept of freedom. The complexity of the Rousseauian republican concept of freedom, with its multiplex combination of positive and negative aspects, is revealed when we take into consideration the various layers of Rousseau's
quadrotomy of freedom (natural freedom, civil freedom, democratic freedom, moral freedom), without resorting to reductionist interpretative strategies. Rousseau will also be analyzed as an advocate of freedom as non-domination and in the role of watching over and critiquing the government.
Based on this analysis and in light of the discussion about the positive and negative aspects of Rousseau’s conception of republican freedom, the second part will examine Hegel's critique of Rousseau. It will be demonstrated that while Hegel does indeed resolve some of the paradoxes of republican freedom, which he implicitly identified through his criticism of Rousseau, he introduces new ones within his political philosophy. At the same time, it will be shown that when the negative aspect of Rousseau's conception of republican freedom is taken into account some of Hegel's criticisms directed at Rousseau’s ‘general will’ have merit and cannot be reduced to a mere misreading as is often done.

At the same time, it will be shown that when the negative aspect of Rousseau's conception of republican freedom is taken into account some of Hegel's criticisms directed at Rousseau’s ‘general will’ have merit and cannot be reduced to a mere misreading as is often done.",

AB  - U ovom radu želim da pokažem da se Hegelova politička filozofija i posebno njegovo shvatanje organizacije ustava moderne države iz Filozofije prava poziva na njegovu hronologiju svetske istorije. Kako ću takođe pokazati ova veza se zasniva na njegovom preuzimanju ustava Rimske republike kako je on prikazan u delu starogrčkog istoričara Polibija. U prvom koraku ću se
osvrnuti na Hegelovo preuzimanje Polibijevog modela „mešanog ustava“ i način na koji on putem ovog modela integriše svetsko-istorijske režime unutar svoje političke filozofije. Zatim ću ukazati na bitne razlike koje se javljaju između antičkog, republikanskog i modernog, monarhijskog ustava. Ove razlike se prvenstveno tiču odnosa rada i rata sa sferom politike i način na koji Hegel pokušava da „odloži“ pad suvereniteta moderne države. Na kraju ću se iz ovoga osvrnuti na ambivalentnost značenja „kraja istorije“ u njegovoj filozofiji.

AB  - U radu pokazujem da Hegelovo shvatanje rata, kao uslova državne suverenosti, poseduje više protivrečnosti. Ove protivrečnosti se tiču posebno modernih ratova, pa oni time nisu u mogućnosti da igraju ulogu potpore političkog jedinstva. Na prvom mestu nudim objašnjenje za Hegelovo razumevanje rata kao nužnosti politike sa fokusom na pojam „hrabrosti“ koji on uzima kao alternativu teoriji društvenog ugovora. U sledećem koraku argumentujem da pojam hrabrosti u Hegelovoj političkoj filozofiji ne može da ispuni sve uslove kojim bi se garantovala suverenost moderne države. Ovo činim kroz tipologiju ratova koje Hegel navodi — kolonijalni, ograničeni i totalni rat — gde pokazujem da nijedan od ovih ratova nije u sposobnosti da očuva političko jedinstvo u modernosti. Konačno, zaključujem da moderni ratovi imaju smisla isključivo u okviru Hegelove svetske istorije, ali ne i njegove političke filozofije.

AB  - The aim of this article is to develop a distinction between two types of courage in Hegel’s philosophy: political and world-historical, in order to show the limitations of the former. The concept of political courage, or Tapferkeit, features in Hegel’s political philosophy, and signifies the wartime form of mutual trust required of the modern citizen for defense of an established constitution. World-historical courage, on the other hand, relates to the personal virtue of the ‘great individual’, which acts as a force of destruction against decaying constitutions. The article shows that political courage for Hegel serves as an alternative to the idea of the contract as the foundation of state unity. However, when placed in comparison with world-historical courage, political courage does not fully correspond to its concept as defined by Hegel. I begin with Hegel’s critique of Hobbes, his rejection of the social contract theory, and his introduction of the concept of Tapferkeit as an alternative principle of political unity. In the next step I show that world-historical courage differs but also shares many similarities with political courage, which taken together reveal the limitations of the latter. In the end, I argue that only in the instance of Hegel’s conception of total war do political and world-historical courage coincide.
AB  - Cilj ovog članka je da se razvije razlika između dva tipa hrabrosti u Hegelovoj filozofiji: poli tičke i svetsko-istorijske, kako bih pokazao ograničenja prve. Koncept političke hrabrosti, ili 
Tapferkeit, figurira u Hegelovoj političkoj filozofiji i označava ratni oblik međusobnog pove renja koji se zahteva od modernog građanina u svrhu odbrane uspostavljenog ustava. Svet sko-istorijska hrabrost, s druge strane, odnosi si se na ličnu vrlinu ,velike individue‘, koja de luje kao destruktivna sila protiv ustava koji su u procesu dezintegracije. Kao što ću pokazati, 
politička hrabrost za Hegela služi kao alternativa ideji ugovora kao temelja državnog jedin stva. Međutim, kada se uporedi sa svetsko-istorijskom hrabrošću, politička hrabrost ne od govara u potpunosti svom pojmu kako ga definiše Hegel. U članku se prvo fokusiram na He gelovu kritiku Hobsa, njegovo odbacivanje teorije društvenog ugovora i uvođenje pojma 
Tapferkeit kao alternativnog principa političkog jedinstva. U sledećem koraku pokazujem da 
se svetsko-istorijska hrabrost razlikuje, ali i da deli mnoge sličnosti sa političkom hrabrošću,

Roman Courage and Constitution in Hegel's Philosophy of Right

AB  - This article argues that the citizens of Hegel's state cannot maintain themselves as politically free because they are susceptible to mutual enslavement. I demonstrate this by focusing on the Roman republican background of Hegel's constitution, the potential trajectory of its dissolution and the accompanying means of its cyclical fortification through courage. Hegel, by integrating aspects of the Roman mixed constitution also adopts the idea of decadence within his conception of civil society. After locating the source of decadence in the contractual relations of peace and the bourgeois inability to overcome the fear of death, I go on to argue that war for Hegel provides a theatre where freedom may be regenerated through courage. However, I also show that modern wars do not provide sufficient means of perpetuating Hegel's constitution. To demonstrate this, I distinguish three forms of war: colonial, limited and total war, arguing that only the latter offers a solution to decay of political disposition and loss of freedom, but that—by being itself susceptible to decadence—it cannot salvage Hegel's state from dissolution and reduction to contractual relations.

AB  - Rad  prezentuje  Delezovu  i  Gatarijevu  univerzalnu  istoriju  iz Anti-Edipasa ciljem  osvrta  na  centralne  momente  ovog  dela  koji  se  nadovezuju  na  Marksove  teze  iz Grundrisse. Svrha rada je da pokaže na koji način Delez i Gatari preformulišu klasični marksistički  problem  ideologije  u  pitanje  konstitucije  subjektivnosti.  Polazeći  od Marksovog  manuskripta  o  pretkapitalističkim  formama  proizvodnje  iz Grundrisseprikazujemo tri različita režima koje Delez i Gatari formulišu: primitivizam, despotizam i kapitalizam, sa posebnim fokusom na poslednji i na formu subjektivnosti koju ovaj režim pretpostavlja.  Konačno  se  u  radu  osvrćemo  i  na  probleme  sa  kojima  se  Delezova  i Gatarijeva istoriografija suočava.

AB  - In the article I argue that Hegel and Deleuze/Guattari construct two distinct political paths toward immanence. Both of these paths have as their starting point Rousseau’s bourgeois. I show that both thinkers follow Rousseau in his attempt to construct political immanence and abandon the position of private man. However, in doing so they move in opposite directions. Hegel seeks to convert the bourgeois into the citizen, with the intention of reformulating the immanence of state-life presented in the The Social Contract by extending mutual recognition a distinct space in the form of civil society. In contrast Deleuze/Guattari move in the direction of becoming-animal along the lines of the Discourse on Inequality, by reformulating the relationship between life and society. At the same time, I argue that the overcoming of the problems that Hegel and Deleuze/Guattari identified in Rousseau introduces new ones and that the dangers inherent in the project of immanence cannot disappear.

Assemblage or Totality? The Paradoxes of Political Organization in Hegel and Deleuze/Guattari

AB  - In this article I focus on two conceptual understandings of political organization and disorganization: Totality and Assemblage—central to the philosophies of Hegel and Deleuze/Guattari (subsequently referred to as “D/G”), respectively. Although these concepts possess a primarily ontological meaning in the works of the three philosophers, I will examine them in relation to Hegel’s and D/G’s understanding of political practice. I aim to show that when these two concepts are taken as principal categories of political organization, paradoxes emerge. These paradoxes represent problems in Hegel’s and D/G’s political thought that cannot be resolved through politics itself because they reveal its limits.
