The paper explores the paradigm of the political in feminist activism in Serbia, from the beginning of the 1990s to the present. Its initial question, how are we to understand the meaning of the political in feminism, pleads for a nuanced analysis of spatial and temporal dimensions of various phenomena that give shape to it. Relying on a multi-layered concept of citizenship regime, I argue that there are two paradigms of the political in feminism, the first relating to war, the second to transition. Relationship towards the state, towards the civil society and national, later social dimensions of citizenship proved to be the essential for understanding the differences between these two paradigms.en
