AB  - Este artículo propone pensar posibilidades y límites del realismo sucio en relación con el cinismo. Se propone que el cinismo es constitutivo del realismo sucio. Fuera de su reducción a la postura impotente y pasiva, el cinismo se elabora como una actitud existencial desafiante al cierre de lo político al mismo tiempo exigiendo la otra relación con la política. Explorando el cinismo y realismo sucio como crítica fuerte al fracaso del proyecto socialista en Cuba de los 90, se establece la relación entre el valor y el cuerpo exponiendo la relación fundamental entre la biopolítica y el socialismo.

Using the theoretical framework of Mieke Bal, the essay sheds lights on problems which emerge when concepts are blindly translated from West to the reality of Latin America.
