AB  - Transfer from social to semantic web brought us to an era of algorithmic
society, placing issues such as privacy, big data and AI in the spotlight. although neutral
by their nature, the power of big data algorithms to impact societies became major
concern outcoming with fines issued to Facebook in the US. These events were initiated
by alleged breaches of data privacy connected to recommender system technology,
which can provide individualized content to internet users. This paper seeks to explain
recommender systems, while elaborating on their social effects, to conclude that their
overall impacts might be increase in retail sales, democratization of advertising, increase
in internet addictions, social polarization (echo chamber issue), and improvement
of political communication. Also, more research should be deployed into low intensity
addictions, as potential outcome of recommender systems, and it should be explored
how they affect political participation and democracy.

AB  - Друштвени медији постају незаобилазан комуникациони алат
данашњице, укључујући и политичку комуникацију. Самим тим, технолошке компаније које њима управљају имају велику моћ. Свака њихова интервенција у јавној
сфери може да има далекосежне последице. Фокусирамо се на два случаја утицаја
технолошких компанија на медије, изборни и легислативни процес, као основне
чиниоце демократије. Разматрамо импликације забране Доналду Трампу да користи
Твитер, као и окршај медијске политике Аустралије са Фејсбуком и Гуглом. Долазимо до закључка да су технолошке компаније у овим случајевима преузеле моћ која
је претходно припадала судској и легислативној грани власти, у смислу одређивања
шта је говор мржње, као и регулацију медија. Самим тим, угрожени су информисање и суверенитет држава у којима се спроводе ове интервенције. Ови догађаји
указују да свет улази у период доминације технолошких компанија, који можемо
назвати технократијом или технофеудализмом. Даља разматрања треба да иду у
правцу дефинисања друштвених медија као јавног добра у коме утицај треба да
имају друштва, а не само технолошке компаније који су власници ових комуникационих платформи.
AB  - Social media are becoming an indispensable communication tool today,
including political communication. Therefore, technological companies running them
have a great power. Every intervention they have in the public sphere may have far-reaching consequences. We will focus on two cases of the influence of technological companies
on media, election and legislative processes as basic factors of democracy. We will consider
the implications of the prohibition of Donald Trump’s use of Twitter, as well as the conflict
of Australia’s media policy with Facebook and Google. We have reached the conclusion
that in these cases technological companies took over the power that used to belong to the
judicial and legislative branch of power, in terms of defining what hate speech, as well as
media regulation is. Accordingly, this threatens the information system and sovereignty
of the countries where these interventions are made. These events indicate that the world
is entering a period of domination of technological companies, which may be called technocracy or technofeudalism. Further considerations should be directed towards defining
social media as a public good that should be influenced by societies and not only technological companies as the owners of these communication platforms.

How media directly impact society: a psychometric analysis of leading Twitter news profiles and their followers in Serbia

AB  - We conducted quantitative psychometric analysis on Twitter posts of 20 leading Serbian media in duration of three months. On the other side, we did the same kind of processing for their followers, including more than half million of tweets. The analysis has been done using Twitter API on posts data from 24 October until 30 January of 2019, Serbian LIWC psychometric dictionary and further statistical processing. We discovered that language used by media differs according to their nature and contents they produce. At the same time we found that categories and words related to family, feel, sex, spirituality, negative emotions and work, expressed in posts of media, are predictors for tweets of their followers. This actually means that if media reports consist of these elements, they will reflect in language of their followers. Thus, impact of media on their audiences is clearly registered in the language of Twitter users. Such findings confirm the power of media and indicate how important it is to carefully choose media contents that are consumed, having in mind of various potential hazards, including media addiction. Results align with emotional contagion theory. This research was the first one to indicate various psychometric categories could spread on social media, beyond solely emotions. This research is limited to assessment of media impact in one country. The study indicates it would be important to focus further research  on negative news and how they affect multiple societies and groups of people and establish live Media Negativity Index on global level.

AB  - Times of uncertainty and fear were brought by Covid 19. Ongoing pandemic is a fruitful ground for fake news, as citizens try to find explanations that fit into their worldviews. This process polarizes society and creates echo chambers amplified by recommender systems. Our main goal is to detect anti-vaxxer echo chamber in Serbia by analyzing online reactions to recent arrest of prominent anti-vaxxer dr Jovana Stojkovic. Content analysis of online comments is deployed in anti-regime left, anti-regime right and pro government media to explore attitudes towards vaccination conspiracy theory, police action towards anti-vaxxers and government crisis response team. We clearly distinguish anti vaccine echo chamber among commentators of anti regime right media (Youtube podcasts). Additionally, we describe attitudes expressed around issues related to vaccination. Limitation of this inquiry is lack of quantitative analysis. This is recommended for further research, in order to analyze greater number of comments. Additionally, scientists should explore echo chambers in more detail, given the fact they stand as realistic threat to democracy in future.

Political marketing and strategies of digital illusions – examples from Venezuela and Brazil

AB  - State represents a social phenomenon which is constantly changing – just
like all political actors. The direction of that evolution is determined by the development
and current state of the art in technological domain. That explains how the rise of social
media and new ICTs has shaped the contemporary political communication. This paper
sheds light on the manner in which digital tools are exploited in an unpredictable social
ambience which is characterized by numerous political crises. Special attention has been
given to the phenomenon of digital astroturfing and political disinformation trends in Venezuela
and Brazil. We have found that the dynamic technological development combined
with the use of political bots has been creating the potential for fake news, thus impacting
election processes and endangering democracy. Therefore, these phenomena need further
scientific examination.
AB  - Држaвa прeдстaвљa фeнoмeн кojи стaлнo мeњa свojу фoрму, кao и
пoлитички aктeри унутaр њe. Правац тих промена у oдрeђeнoj мeри зaвиси oд рaзвoja
тeхнoлoгиjе. Нoвe инфoрмaциoнo-кoмуникaциoнe тeхнoлoгиje и успoн друштвeних
мрeжa утицaли су нa мoдeрну пoлитичку кoмуникaциjу. Oвaj рaд рaзмaтрa нa кojи
нaчин сe eксплoaтишу дигитaлни aлaти у нeпрeдвидљивoм друштвeнoм aмбиjeнту
кojeг oдликуjу брojнe пoлитичкe кризe. Посебну пажњу посветили смо феномену
дигиталног aстрoтурфингa и ширeњa пoлитичких дeзинфoрмaциja у Вeнeцуeли и
Брaзилу. Брзи тeхнoлoшки рaзвoj у кoмбинaциjи сa кoришћeњeм пoлитичких бoтoвa
ствaрa пoтeнциjaл зa ширeњe лaжних вeсти, штo утичe нa дeмoкрaтичнoст избoрнoг
прoцeсa. Стoгa je нeoпхoднo пoдрoбниje истрaжити oвe фeнoмeнe.

AB  - Fears, attitudes, closeness of different social categories and media use were explored by through the Results of Oxford Happiness Inventory and Multiple Lickert scale. Findings include that happier individuals are better connected to their family, express positive stands on teachers, professors, sport workers and members of some nations. These notions are connected to results of previous research inquiries about wellbeing and increased agreeableness, increased extroversion, increased openness to experience and decreased neuroticism.

AB  - The unique possibilities of online social networks such as real-time data access, knowledge of users’ changing preferences and access to their statuses provide the possibility for innovation in the analysis of people’s behavior and opinions, when compared to classical offline methods. Literature review shows lack of studies about the use of public Facebook data in Serbia for the improvement of different product sale, political or promotional campaigns, recommender systems, etc. In this paper, we present the way how data from Facebook can be collected in order to gain insight into the individuals’ preferences and statuses, as well as their connection to a company's fan pages. In particular, we present data collection framework – Symbols – used for collecting individual specific data. The framework stores data into a local database and involves a module for a graph and content-based analysis of these data. The proposed framework for social network analysis can be used as a decision-making system in users’ preferences implementation thus creating a space for business improvements in various areas.

AB  - The Annual Attitude Examination Survey consisting of 366 questions was
deployed on nationally representative sample in Serbia to get 2608 valid inputs
on the Oxford Happiness Inventory and Multiple Lickert scale questions concerning
attitudes, fears, media use and closeness of different social categories to
the participants. Research results confirm that happiness is affected by certain
attitudes and characteristics of research participants such as those indicating
openness to new experiences, being people loving, optimistic, positive, future
and present focused, knowledge oriented, relaxed, creative, helping, just and
empathetic. This is the first happiness research in Serbia. Future inquiries of
this kind should be moved towards the Internet as a source of continuous data.

Media addicts in Serbia: problem dimensions and possible solutions

AB  - Advances in mobile devices technology enabled media access anywhere and anytime. The appearance of social networks opened new realms of life simulation, potentially boosting media addictions. Personal characteristics in combination with stressful situations may be causing repression of inner impulses, thus provoking some psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety or loneliness. In this situation, person might look into characteristics and content of different media to find the one which addresses his or her repressed impulses, thus enabling ―simulation of life‖. Person susceptible to one addiction might at some point decide to change it with another one, like alcohol or drugs use. The results of this research indicate that materialistic persons oriented towards societal success are more likely to become media addicts. Stressful situations coming from family, workplace, education and moral and ethical norms are strongly linked to media addiction. Family as a liberating agent has been found to correlate with a decrease in levels of media addiction. The repression of inner impulses has been increasing with levels of media addiction. Media addiction has been increasing with those research participants with feelings of happiness tied to shopping.
AB  - Све већи број корисника медија, као и могућност сталног приступа путем
мобилних уређаја – чине медијску зависност важном темом за друштво. С обзиром на наведено, ова студија има задатак да проучи како медијска зависност настаје и којим стратегијама и превентивним политикама ју је могуће умањити. У
уводу су цитирани различити аутори како би се пружио приказ претходних истраживања повезаних са личним особинама, стресним ситуацијама и потискивањем
унутрашњих импулса као предуслова за настајање медијске зависности. Такође је
разматрање различитих врста зависности било у средишту истраживања, тј. питање зашто је зависник изабрао баш одређену врсту зависности, а не неку другу.
Овде се успостављају истраживачке хипотезе. Наредна секција у раду објашњава методологију која је коришћена да се
испита медијска зависност у Србији. У овом делу излажу се питања из анкете која
се односе на узроке настајања медијске зависности.
Затим се излажу резултати истраживања који потврђују хипотезе. Укратко,
утврђено је да су људи са материјалистичким аспирацијама који желе друштвено
потврђен успех посебно погодни да постану медијски зависници. Такође, окидачи
за медијску зависност могу бити различите стресне ситуације из свакодневног
живота, што укључује сфере као што су образовање, рад, породица итд. С друге
стране, постоји само једна сфера која је у јасној негативној корелацији са медијском зависношћу и то је породица. Мала је вероватноћа да људи који осећају да је
„породица њихова слобода‖ постану медијски зависници. Поред тога, утврђено је
да међу људима који воле да купују има више медијских зависника у односу на
групу оних који то не воле да раде. Сви поменути резултати истраживања су онда
стављени у контекст демографских података испитаника како би се добила и та
димензија.
На крају је цео процес медијске зависности још једном разматран кроз завршна запажања. Ово укључује медијску зависност и личне особине, стресне ситуације и потискивање унутрашњих импулса. Потенцијалне користи овог истраживања су наведене као, на пример, коришћења за државну стратегију против медијске зависности. Предлаже се универзална методологија за мерење медијске зависности према свим медијима, као и континуално мерење у више земаља како би
се добила слика у односу на ово глобално питање. Стратегија превенције медијске
зависности предложена је с обзиром на истраживачки резултат који говори о утицају јаке породице да се смањи медијска зависност.

AB  - Two aspects of technologically driven civilization are evident:
availability of new media and interactivity. This study examines media
addiction on three levels: purpose of use, medium of choice and online

for fun as opposed to individuals who use media for information;
level of media addiction is higher with users of new media as opposed
to users of old media; more interactive and less practical online applications
such as social networks and chat are more addictive. When
looking into nature of new and old media it is possible to conclude that
media addiction may be related to number of senses grabbed by media
and media features, such as live broadcasting and interactivity. This
brings us to conclusion that future of media may be in employment of
additional human senses in its use.

participation. Those who have less confidence in future are bigger media addicts,
those who fear about present and future are bigger media addicts, those
who are not interested in politics are bigger media addicts, those who have less
political knowledge are bigger media addicts and finally that low participants
in elections are bigger media addicts. This study is limited to Serbia, while it
would be useful to measure media addiction in all countries. New methodology
introduced by this study should be improved. Results of further studies should
be presented with 3D graphs.

problems, plans, novel experiences about the products, political stances, and alike. Having the
possibility to extract the information of interest from a huge amount of hand-created data about
the users’ personal affinities and their usage within logistics system, it is facilitated to meet the
customers’ needs. In this paper we present a procedure for finding and analyzing valuable
information related to the specific products, and its effect on logistics system decision-making.
Filtering is being done by already developed software for neurolinguistics social network analysis -
“Symbols”. This software offers graphical representation of statistical data for selected brands
based on the social network statuses, its implications, as well as target group demographic and
territorial structure. The results obtained point out possible increasing/decreasing demands
among separate user groups, therefore giving a factual basis for logistics changes.

AB  - Grounded in above written theoretical frameworks, this exploratory study seeks to expand previous
research by addressing the main research hypothesis that increase in media addiction causes
decrease in political participation. Further research hypotheses are that the bigger media addicts
are people who have less confidence in future, who fear about present and future, who are not
interested in politics, who have lower political knowledge, and who have lower participation in
elections. In this research, these hypotheses are addressed by adequate research questions.
Main research question of this study concerns relation of media addiction and political participation.
Establishing this relation is goal of this study because of higher infiltration of media into people lives
and appearance of new media, use of the Internet on the go, and new technology. This study
examines possible dangers of new technology – media addiction and decline of political
participation. If people use extensively media, they might not have time for voting or participating in
activities of common interest.
The next questions examine significant relations of media addiction and elements of political
participation with main aim to determine if increases in media addiction cause decreases in political
participation. Political participation may be basic pillar of democracy and lack of interest toward
“common interest” participative activities may be dangerous for societies.

AB  - Public opinion is important for political decisions. Politicians change public attitudes. They often turn public disagreement to predominant support for some policies (Mutz, etal. 1996).
Long term change of political attitudes is caused by slow development of personality types (Riesman 1950). Research efforts in the field of political persuasion were based on personality stability, rather than media influence.
On the other hand, changes in public opinion and social conditions occur frequently. According to Lewin (1936) attitudes are function of people and circumstances. If individual attitudes change according to the circumstances it makes no sense to perceive their dependance on slow personality change. In recent times researchers have been measuring attitudes as specters of possible acceptance and rejection of ideas, not as points of estimates.
Starting point of political attitude change research is variability of public opinion. Research examine how politicians use media for framing and priming. They use chosen arguments to change public perception. Thus, changing the balance of arguments is essential for attitude change. Power of media is not telling the citizens what to think, but rather what to think about.
Dealing with public matters politicians often behave strategically, rarely sincere. They speak about general issues, not concrete political decisions. Citizens form their attitudes based on cues. They are aware of main media messages, while ignoring most of news and reports. Citizens interpret interpretations. Politicians think ahead about interpretations, shaping their messages to achieve desired effects.

Features of new media such as interactivity and possibility to use it from anywhere anytime indicate internet may be highly addictive. Data point to increases in overall media use over the last 60 years. On the other hand, decreases in political participation are registered together with decline in socializing and active membership in professional organizations for the same period. Research questions are divided into large ones relating to examination of what kind of people are more susceptible to becoming media addicts, finding out if people are more addicted to old than to new media and inquiring into consequences of media addiction including its effects to political participation. Classical thinkers have been examined as basis for hypotheses with special attention directed towards anomie, alienation and mass society. Nowadays literature has been examined as well, focusing on modern social structure, advance of technology, globalization, disappointment with democracy, new media landscape and narcissism. Main presumption coming from examination of different theoretical perspectives is that social changes such as appearance of mass production and expansion of mass media decreased possibilities for expression and increased manipulation of profit interest. This may be causing appearance of frustrations leading towards different kinds of addictions as substitutions for unrealized goals, thus causing decrease in political participation. This decrease makes it possible for “wrong people” to become social agents as they perform representative functions in poor manner, which potentially causes more frustration.Research was conducted through nationally representative survey in Serbia during 2011. This study establishes new methodology to measure addiction to all media through a single survey; it divides media addicts according to level of their addiction and uses length of media use as objective indicator, for the first time, while it also includes subjective indicators. All hypotheses of this study have been confirmed including main one, saying that increases in media addiction cause decreases in political participation. First set of research results says that some kind of people are more susceptible to media addiction than others, including those who consider social success more important than the intimate wish, those who repress their basic needs and wishes, those who use media for fun, those whose main life preoccupations is work, those who are younger, those who are less educated, those who love or hate media and those who feel repression from family, ethical norms, education and workplace. On the other hand, results indicate that people who feel liberation from family are less susceptible to media addiction. Second set of research results indicate that new media are more addictive than old ones, some media features such as live broadcast, interactivity and non-linearity possibly make new media more addictive than old ones, amusing internet applications are more addictive than practical ones and those who socialize online are bigger addicts than those who socialize in person. Third set of research results indicate consequence of media addiction might be decreased reception & expression capability towards non-preffered media, based on correlations between addicts happy or unhappy with some media and their willingness to receive other media and based on expression potential of different media. Special attention has been given to results about relation of media addiction and political participation to conclude that those who have less confidence in future are bigger media addicts, those who fear about present and future are bigger media addicts, those who are not interested in politics are bigger media addicts, those who have less political knowledge are bigger media addicts and finally that low participants in elections are bigger media addicts. This study is limited to Serbia, while it would be useful to measure media addiction in all countries. New methodology introduced by this study should be improved. AB  - With explosion of technological innovation, people tend to develop an addiction to new media
such as mobile devices, computers, and gaming consoles.This study expands the previous
research by addressing the overall (new and old) media addiction in Serbia by using eight universal indicators. The study found that 88% of participants are the potential media addicts
while only 7.6% of them show the signs of the extreme media addiction. As it is very significant
to know and understand the media addiction in our society, the media addiction researchshould be standardized and continuous.
AB  - Са експлозијом технолошких иновација, људи теже да повећају време које проводе у «имагинарном свету» користећи нове
медије, као што су мобилни уређаји, рачунари и играчке конзоле.
У општем случају зависност се дефинише као зависност од понашања или супстанци које није могуће контролисати. Ова студија
проширује претходна истраживања разматрајући укупну медијску
зависност у Србији. Студија нуди анкетна истраживања зависности популације у Србији од утицаја старих и нових медија.
Током истраживања зависности од интернета Јaнг (Young)
(1996) консултује показатеље патолошког коцкања из Дијагностичког и статистичког приручника за менталне поремећаје (ДСМ)
Америчког психијатријског удружења (1995). При истраживању
зависности од телевизије, Кубеи (Kubey) (1996) закључује да може
применити пет дијагностичких критеријума из ДСМ (прекомерно
коришћење, покушаји да се смањи употреба, продужена примена,
замена и повлачење). Међутим, преглед литературе показује да до
сада ниједно истраживање није публиковано о у коме се истражује
зависност популације од свих врста медија истовремено.
У овом истраживању зависности од свих врста медија, користе се дијагностички показатељи ДСМ постављањем седам питања. Истраживање се одрадило на вишестепеном случајном узорку
од 2208 учесника. Овај узорак је репрезентативан за становништво
Србије старије од 15 година. Учесници истраживања су интервјуисани од јануара до маја 2011 од стране студената Факултета за
културу и медије Мегатренд универзитета.
Резултати анкете се обрађују користећи следећи алгоритам.
У првом кораку се за појединачне испитанике одређује време и
просек коришћења појединачно интернета, телевизије, радија и
штампе. У другом кораку се одређује група исптаника која кори­сти појединачне медијуме изнад просека, као 40 % испитаника из
те групе који користе ове медије највише. Они се означавају као
потенцијални медијски зависници (ПМЗ). Показало се да их од читаве интервјуисане популације има 88%. У трећем кораку, ПМЗ
се даље разматрају користећи показатаље субјективне медијске зависности (као што су прекомерна употреба медија, покушаји да се
смањи употреба медија, замена, повлачење, и стално коришћење
медија). Само, онај ПМЗ који бира екстреме у понуђеним скалама
добија показатељ медијске зависности. Коначно, узимајући у обзир резултате медијске зависности, ПМЗ су сортирани зависно од
броја показатеља медијских зависности које поседују.
Истраживање је дало следеће резултате. Што се тиче прекомерног коришћења, 24% од ПМЗ осећа да прекомерно користи
медије. Што се тиче покушаја да се смањи коришћење медија,
26.1% испитаника не успева да се одупре употреби медија, а 22,4%
испитаника осећа потребу да затвори своје профиле на друштвеним мрежама. Што се тиче замене активности, 31,9% испитаника
је одговорило да често користе медије да забораве своје проблеме.
Што се тиче повлачења, 37,2% би се осећали досадно и празно
без медија. Што се тиче даљег коришћења медија, 31,1% не борави тамо где не постоји приступ медијима, а 44,9% сматра да негативне вести у медијима негативно утичу на њихово расположење.
Коначни резултат говори да 27.7% ПМЗ има најнижи могући ниво
зависности од утицаја медија док 7,6% ПМЗ има највиши ниво медијске зависности који се састоји у томе да је нађено да поседују
по четири или више показатеља медијске зависности.

Током истраживања зависности од интернета Јaнг (Young)

медије. Што се тиче покушаја да се смањи коришћење медија,
26.1% испитаника не успева да се одупре употреби медија, а 22,4%
испитаника осећа потребу да затвори своје профиле на друштвеним мрежама. Што се тиче замене активности, 31,9% испитаника
је одговорило да често користе медије да забораве своје проблеме.
Што се тиче повлачења, 37,2% би се осећали досадно и празно
без медија. Што се тиче даљег коришћења медија, 31,1% не борави тамо где не постоји приступ медијима, а 44,9% сматра да негативне вести у медијима негативно утичу на њихово расположење.
Коначни резултат говори да 27.7% ПМЗ има најнижи могући ниво
зависности од утицаја медија док 7,6% ПМЗ има највиши ниво медијске зависности који се састоји у томе да је нађено да поседују
по четири или више показатеља медијске зависности.",

AB  - This study examines impact of addictive media use to reception
capabilities towards less preferred media. Addiction to all media was measured in
order to compare will to receive less preferred media. Results show that those media
addicts that are happy with internet are least happy with other media when compared
to those who are primarily happy with television, radio or print and their relation
towards less preferred media. Results show special attachment of internet addicts to
media they are addicted to. They are compared with addictive features and
expression potential of internet, television, radio and print. Decrease in expression
and reception potential towards non-proffered media may be caused because of substitution
of more expressive activities, such as direct communication with less
expressive activities such as indirect (mediated) communication. Findings should be
used as a clue for further inquiry that would examine how internet use affects emotional
expressivity, creativity and wellbeing.
AB  - Ова студија испитује утицај коришћења медија на способности рецепције и изражавања према мање преферираним медијима. Зависност у
односу на интернет, телевизију, радио и штампу измерена је како би се упредила жеља за коришћењем мање преферираних медија. Резултати показују да су
они медијски зависници који су срећни због коришћења интернета најмање срећни када користе остале медије, а у односу на оне појединце који су примарно срећни када користе телевизију, радио и штампу и њихов однос према
мање преферираним медијима. Резултати истраживања показују специјалну
везаност интернет зависника за медиј од кога су зависни. Резултати су упоређени са особинама медија које их потенцијално чине зависним али и са потенцијалом за изражавање ових медија. Смањење у потенцијалу за изражавање
и рецепцију према мање преферираним медијима можда је изазвано заменом
активности које су саме по себи више изражајне, као што је директна комуникација са мање изражајним активностима као што је индиректна (медијска)
комуникација. Резултати могу да се искористе као путоказ за даља истраживања о томе како коришћење интернета утиче на емоционалну експресивност,
креативност и благостање.

AB  - Cilj ovog rada je ispitivanje ponašanja profesionalnih komunikatora i
studenata komunikologije na Fejsbuku kako bi se kategorizovali u početne, napredne
i profesionalne korisnike. Istraživanje je obavljeno metodom anketiranja i analizom
sadržaja obavljene ankete. Poziv za popunjavanje ankete poslat je članovima nekoliko
Fejsbuk grupa koje se bave komunikološkim disciplinama. Istraživanje ponašanja je
pokazalo je da početni korisnici koji Fejsbuk koriste manje od godinu dana ovu društvenu
aplikaciju uglavnom vide kao kanal za ličnu ili jednosmernu komunikaciju, dok
napredni korisnici vide Fejsbuk kao mesto za dvosmernu i platformsku komunikaciju
mnogih sa mnogima. Profesionalni korisnici Fejsbuka vide ovu platformu kao način
dvosmerne komunikacije proizvoda/usluge/ideje/osobe sa potrošačima. Oni smatraju
Fejsbuk komunikaciju kao dobar način za negovanje/promenu imidža i za prikupljanje
pobornika/veb-promotera neke osobe/ideje/usluge/proizvoda. Među aktivnim naprednim
korisnicima izdvojeni su plemeniti korisnici koji koriste Fejsbuk da dele svoja
saznanja i da nauče nešto o životu svojih virtuelnih prijatelja.
AB  - This paper examines how communication professionals and communication students use social network Facebook. The aim of the research is to categorize examinees in the following categories: novice, advanced and professional users. Methods of
the research were questionnaire and content analysis of the query results. Invitations for
examinees were sent to the members of few Facebook groups that gather communication
science students and practitioners. Research shows that novice users who use this social
network for less than a year exploit it as a channel for personal or one way communication, while advanced users perceive Facebook as a place for two way and platform based
communication. Professional users see this platform as a way of two way communication
of a product/service/idea/person with consumers. They perceive Facebook communication as a good way to nourish or change image or to gather web advocates. The study
categorizes active advanced users and derives noble users who utilize Facebook to share
knowledge and learn about life of their virtual friends.
